One Laptop per child, crazy or creative?

The world today is ultra-paced when considering the information flow. In this world everyone should fight for their place. Getting updated with the information technology help to overcome this issue and to survive in the world. As the education system is changing and the traditional class room is no more, getting a child equipped with a laptop may give an edge for the child to engage more effectively in the
educational process. Internet connection and unlimited information sources help the children to compete in the world. So the vision “One laptop per child” may look a creative idea. But as a coin has two side it also has some negative effects.

If you are providing a child aged ten with a laptop accompanied with an internet connection, you should be monitoring him or her 24/7. As many of us know how many not suitable for children sites are there in the World Wide Web. As well as the child tend to engage in online and offline games, this seriously effects the extracurricular skills of the child. When the child grows up, he cannot face the society with a confidence. And he also tend to live in virtual world where he is king. Also excess usage of the laptop can cause many health disorders such as eye strain, back pain and obesity. So it is up to the parent or care taker of the child who makes the vision crazy or creative.
