Influence of IT in common traditions.

   Information technology has developed to an extend where no man other than who live in most remote jungle cannot get away from the impact it brings. IT has influenced from the president of a state to a simple cleaning staff working on a government department. The range of information technology varies from the high tech security system to simple house hold tools. It made a tremendous effect on the life.

Introduction of smart phones, improved internet technology, cloud computing, miniaturized it tools have made the living completely different. Here in this post, I would like to have a look how the IT transformed some of our traditional behaviors.

Communication

Earlier communication was face to face, but when the technology improved man used letters and post cards. There after IT evolved and brought the electronic age. So communications via telephone were made possible. And then the short messaging service (SMS) was introduced. But as the technology evolved more email, instant messengers, social sites, video conferencing took the place. And now face to face or voice communications have become something of taboo in the IT world.

We are far away from the traditional business. Now everyone is using amazon, EBay, Mudah and number of various websites for their purchasing. Advertising strategy has evolved and now tele-marketing and email marketing are replacing the traditional ways of advertising. Even the business owners don’t need to travel far and wide to find the producers. The board meeting are taking place in virtual meeting room.

Education

As far as education is concerned information technology enabled to reach its peak. Virtual class rooms, online databases, unlimited references, discussion boards, online courses and many more thinks changed the tradition of education.

Transport

Introduction of IT in the field of transport has changed the dimension of it. Self-ticketing machines, automated monitors, GPS technology, new aviation technology and introduction of low cost transport services made the change in the transportation sector.
