Computer Disciplines

 Computer Science is a broader area and a fundamental platform in the computer development. It focuses on the theoretical and algorithmic concepts of computing and designs innovative devices. Other disciplines requires the assistance and guidance of Computer scientists. Even programmers work under CS professionals. Computer Scientists find effective ways for computing problems. 

Computer Engineering is blended with Electrical Engineering and Mathematics and concerned with the design and construction of computer and computer based systems. This discipline concerns in applying the engineering principles and mathematics for computer based problems. 

Software Engineering finds effective solutions to software related problems. More specifically software engineers design effective software which is affordable by the customers and fulfills their needs accordingly. Most probably their concern is on designing and developing the software.

Cognitive Science -According to Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy "Cognitive science is the interdisciplinary study of mind and intelligence, embracing philosophy, psychology, artificial intelligence, neuroscience, linguistics, and anthropology". This field explains what cognition is and how it works. 

Information Systems is another discipline which focus on the deployment of computer technology in an organization. It may include the proper implementation of the computer technology in all levels on a particular firm or company. MIS is more specifically for the benefit of an organization.
